Try to use your creative side and think about what you can use to wrap your gifts or how you can beautify your presents. So here are a few easy to do gift-wrapping ideas from rubbish that you will not find them rubbish-
1. Mix n Match- This is the best way to make use of leftover wrapping paper. Basically, if you are short of paper you can wrap it with newspaper or chart paper, Don't just stick to wrapping paper sheets. Try finding different papers.
Then just cut strips of matching or contrasting paper of different prints, textures, patterns or colours. Stick the strips in any pattern to make your own unique sheet. Take a lace or ribbon and make a 4 crossbow on the top, tag and embellish as desired.

2. Gift Bag From Cereal box-
Gift bags always look cute and different from normal wrapping and trust me it's easier to make a gift bag than wrap a gift. Gift bags are multipurpose, we can place anything inside it, can carry it anywhere and can reuse it.
Cereal boxes are strong enough and of the most appropriate shape to make a gift bag.
Material Required-
- Cereal box
- Wrapping paper
- scissors
- Fevicol
- Glue gun
- embellishment
3. Newspaper Gift Bag- The newspaper is the most easily available paper at home. We can use newspapers to wrap the presents and decorate them. Using the mix n match technique we all can create gift bags from newspapers and leftover bits of paper. Here is the technique to make a gift bag from the newspaper in the picture below.
4. The makeover of a Box of Pringle- The easiest and the exceptionally creative idea is to use a box of Pringle to create a gift box. I personally find it innovative due to its cylindrical shape. Just remember, you just have to cover it with paper(9.5"x 11") and then you can decorate them as you desire. I used brown paper as the base and decorated it with bits of wrapping paper and used twine for the bow.
5. Upcycling of Shoe Box- A shoe box is a very nice option for creating a gift box. This DIY will help you to change the shoe box completely and you can use it for storing your craft items and keepsakes. As we are converting it into a gift box, I will give you some options for decorating it-
- A bow always works on a gift box.
- you can add a photo of the recipient, it will add a personal touch to it.

- Tags or a Message board is again a good option.
- For our festive season, one can add some bling by using rhinestones, golden ribbon, traditional buttons, artificial flowers, or whatever you get just be innovative.

- Gift boxes can be further wrapped with plain cellophane for neater and finished looks. Alternatively, pick coloured cellophane to pack gifts such as cookies, candles, cakes etc.
